Brief Overview
This website is designed to serve as a homepage for those of us who have,
at some point in our lives, been members of Lancaster University Hiking Club.
The principle of hanging on is a well-established one, but so often it's easy
to lose touch with friends from the Club once we stop turning up to annoy the freshers.
Hence this idea. On this site you'll not only find nostalgic nuggets about the
Hiking Club in years gone by, but you'll also find sections devoted to keeping us all
in touch, such as an online Contact List.
This site is meant to be a noticeboard and resource for you to use, so please feel
free to submit your photos, pictures, reminiscences and general stuff by email.
Oh yes, and don't forget to have your say in the forum!
What else is there to say? Go and have a look around, and enjoy the site.
Please give me some feedback if you want, by email or by using the forum.
Why is the site called "The Foyer"?
The site is named after the traditional lunchtime meeting place of the Hiking Club,
Faraday Foyer.
