| How We Organise Events |
Unlike Hiking Club Trips, we do not plan walking trips every weekend. Instead we just organise
events when Alumni members ask for them, and we go to places that Alumni
members have asked to go to.
If you would like to go walking anywhere then you need to sound out
some opinion first. You can either talk to your Alumni friends,
email the organisers, or use the main email list.
Once there's some support for a weekend somewhere then email the organisers and
tell us where and when the meet will be, and we will put an advert on the website for it,
as well as publicising it via the mailing list, and the newsletter if the timing is right.
The website has a special Events Diary
section in which all forthcoming events, and information about them, can be found.
All you have to do, as organiser, is to book the campsite or the bunkhouse where we'll be
staying, as well as act as a point of contact for people who would like to
go on the trip.
Should you wish to organise something which requires a large financial outlay then we can
organise the collecting of money and the payment of deposits through our bank account.
The success of our events relies on the interest of our 'members'.
