Who are the Alumni?
LUHC Alumni is a society devoted to
keeping everyone who has been a member of (or in any way involved with)
Lancaster University Hiking Club in touch with each other.
The society was officially formed in February 2000 to organise the
Summer Ball at Langdale
Youth Hostel - a millennial celebration of over 30 years of one of Britain's biggest
student outdoor clubs.
Earlier than this there had been a website under the name of LUHC Alumni,
the latest version of which you are reading now! The website originally served
as a home for all sorts of nostalgia, but gradually grew into a contact area and
latterly a focal point for all of us who want to keep in touch with our old Hiking
Club mates.
We now have an electronic mailing list and a discussion forum to keep everyone
informed of what is going on, and we count amongst our subscribers LUHC members from the 1970s to
current Lancaster students!
Anyone can get involved with what we do, and the section on
Alumni Events will tell you all you need to know about
how we plan our meets.
Who's doing the planning?
We have no Executive Committee as such,
just a group of people who maintain this website, look after our bank account,
and generally give some impetus to what we do. Rather than run the society, these people
just make sure it ticks over efficiently.
The current volunteers are:

| Treasurer: |

| Organisers: |

You can contact the organisers if you want more information on any
part of the Alumni's activities. To do so, please click

in the above list, so one of us should reply to you!
