Edale Weekend
31st August - 2nd September 2001
Organiser: Dave Evans

A meet is being planned in Edale on the weekend of 31st August to the 2nd September, we're staying at Cooper's Camp and Caravan Site, the one opposite the Nags Head. All attending need to register at the reception on their way in (I think it's the shop / post office). Dave will probably be there in the afternoon and is looking forward to seeing all and having a great weekend on his favourite hill.

If you fancy coming along then you can just turn up, but if you want to make sure we know you're coming then just email us - that way we can let you know if there are any last-minute changes of plan.

The Venue
Campsite: Coopers Camp and Caravan Site; Head into the village all the way to the Nags Head and its on the left.
Directions: Have a look at the two maps pages below and decide for yourself (I have checked them and they both work!)

The Nag's Head is a short walk from the campsite.

What has Edale got to offer?  Excellent walking, up on Kinder, Rushup Edge and for the historians Mam Tor.

A look at a section of the Pennine Way, which coincidentally has a terminus at the bar in the Nag's!

Some climbing, on Kinder Scout, or further afield out at Stanage (about 30 minutes drive).

And the chance to have a great weekend in another FMD free National Park!
